Weekly Favorites 1/24/2014

on January 24, 2014

This week’s weekly favorites is devoted to recipes I have meant to try but haven’t yet. As I was spending time going through recipes earlier this week, I realized it’s been a while since I tried something new. I ventured over to my Pinterest recipes board and picked five that I want to try first. The five I chose are:

Lemon-Blueberry Breakfast CakeThis buttermilk blueberry breakfast cake just looks delightful! I have a ton of blueberries in the freezer screaming to be used. I think this may be one way I use some of my blueberry stash.

chocolate_peanut_butter_smoI just love the chocolate and peanut butter combination. The fact this says “No Guilt!” on the picture makes me want to try it as soon as possible.

Copycat King's Hawaiian Rolls from www.kitchenmeetsgirl.com - these taste just as good as the store bought version, and are so easy to make: even for the novice bread maker like me! #recipes #breadI love hawaiian rolls! I just don’t like the price tags associated with the ones located in the deli section of my local grocery store. When I saw this, I knew it was worth trying. I just haven’t had time yet. But I will. And I’m pretty sure I will have to restrain myself from eating the whole batch all by myself. It’s almost like you can smell these by just looking at the picture. Moving on…

Creamy Spinach Tomato Tortellini from Bombshell BlingI’ve been meaning to try this for weeks, but I keep forgetting about it! I will promptly print the recipe so I remember I have it.

Strawberry Brownie Kabobs 739 copyThis picture just screams “SUMMER!” every time I look at it. For some reason I just heard Joey in my head saying, “What’s not to like? Brownies – good, marshmallows – good, strawberries – gooood.” (I’m sorry.) I look forward to making these this summer when strawberries are in season. By the way, I don’t like seeing strawberries in the store in January! It’s not strawberry season yet.

Time to go cook! 🙂
